Classroom Cover Supervisor - Brixham Position: Cover Supervisor (Day-to-Day Supply) Location: Brixham, South Devon Daily Rate: £100 - £120 (Paid Weekly) Contract: Temporary / Flexible Supply Are you an experienced Classroom Assistant or Coach looking for flexible work in Brixham? We are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in the Brixham area on a day-to-day supply basis. This role is ideal for those who have a background in education and are looking for a competitive daily rate without the commitment of lesson planning or marking. The Role As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher. You will ensure that students stay on task with the work provided, maintain a calm learning environment, and manage classroom behaviour effectively.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading lessons across various subjects for Key Stage 3 and 4 (Ages 11-16)
  • Ensuring all students are engaged and following the school's behaviour policy
  • Collecting completed work and providing feedback to the department
  • Supporting the wider school community during the school day

Requirements

  • Classroom Experience: Direct experience working in a UK classroom setting is essential (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor, or Sports Coach)
  • Presence: A confident, professional manner and the ability to lead a group of 30 students
  • Reliability: A proactive approach to day-to-day supply bookings in the Brixham area
  • Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one)
