Job Description:

Secondary Cover Supervisors needed in Southport. This is a professional supervisory role focused on managing classroom integrity and ensuring smooth lesson continuity in the teacher's absence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the class and manage secondary students (ages 11-16)
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons from the absent teacher
  • Hand out and collect learning materials
  • Take and record the class attendance register
  • Supervise students while they complete their tasks
  • Report lesson progress and any student issues to the teacher
  • Ensure student safety and well-being

Requirements:

  • The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • Punctuality and unwavering commitment to school schedules
  • Capacity to communicate effectively with students and staff
  • Readiness to work across different departments and year groups
