In this vital role, you'll be on the front lines, providing essential general supervision and support to students with SEN. You'll work closely with teachers, actively assisting in the classroom and implementing individualised education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
Job Responsibility:
Monitoring student behaviour and intervening when necessary
Providing individualised assistance to students
Communicating with teachers and school staff
Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behaviour
Adhering to school policies and procedures
Requirements:
Experience working with students with SEN in a secondary school setting
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
A foundation of patience, empathy, and a calm demeanour
Natural ability to build rapport with students
Strong organisational and time-management skills
A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or SEN support are preferred
experience in managing challenging behaviour
