Job Description:

Cover Supervisors – Flexible, temporary opportunities available across Felixstowe and surrounding areas. These flexible opportunities are ideal for individuals who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and engagement
  • Support pupils with queries and encourage participation in learning activities
  • Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting is desirable
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate pupils across different subjects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Flexibility to work across multiple schools and adapt to different environments
