Job Description:

Cover Supervisors Needed in Southport (PR8, PR9). Ready for a fresh start in January 2026? We are looking for confident people to help manage classrooms in Southport secondary schools. You don't need to be a subject expert-you just need to be a great leader! Whether you want a steady, long-term job or flexible day-to-day work that fits your life, we have the right role for you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Watching over the class and making sure students stay quiet and finish the work left by their teacher
  • Making sure all students follow the school rules and behave well during the lesson
  • Handing out books and pens at the start of the hour and collecting everything at the end
  • Helping students understand what they need to do if they get stuck on a simple task
  • Leaving a quick note for the regular teacher to let them know how the class got on

Requirements:

  • A loud, clear voice and the confidence to stand at the front of a room of teenagers
  • The ability to stay calm and professional even when the classroom gets busy
  • Good communication skills so you can explain tasks in a way that is easy to understand
  • The ability to follow instructions and adapt quickly if you are asked to cover a different subject
  • Being reliable and on time every morning so the school can count on you
