Job Description:

Cover Supervisor - Make a Difference in a Supportive School Environment. Are you passionate about supporting young people to learn and thrive? We are seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a committed staff support team at a thriving secondary school in Steyning.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise students in the classroom when a teacher is absent, creating a positive learning environment and ensuring students stay engaged and on task
Build rapport with students quickly, fostering a respectful and productive atmosphere
Provide support and guidance to students when needed, ensuring they understand the work and can complete it effectively
Be part of a supportive team, contributing to the wider school community and potentially taking on additional responsibilities such as form tutoring and administrative tasks

Requirements:

A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students
A passion for supporting young people to learn and achieve their potential
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
