Are you looking for a dynamic role in a secondary school that uses your excellent communication skills and confidence without requiring a teaching qualification (QTS)? We are seeking enthusiastic and assertive individuals to join us as a Cover Supervisor in Blackburn. Job Responsibility:

Oversee classes across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (ages 11-18) during teacher absences
Effectively implement the school's behaviour policy
Respond to general queries from students regarding pre-set work
Register student attendance and leave detailed notes for the returning teacher
Act as a positive role model, promoting the school's values

Requirements:

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with teenagers
Strong behaviour management skills and the presence to lead a classroom of secondary students
Previous experience working with groups of young people (e.g., school setting, youth work, coaching, or similar)
A degree is advantageous
Reliability, punctuality, and a flexible approach
A firm commitment to safeguarding and an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
NVQ level 2
