Job Description:

Secondary Cover Supervisors needed in Maghull and surrounding areas in Sefton! A Cover Supervisor is a crucial member of the school staff, responsible for managing a classroom of secondary students (ages 11-16) and ensuring learning continues smoothly when the regular teacher is absent.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the class and manage secondary students (ages 11-16)
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons from the absent teacher
  • Hand out and collect learning materials
  • Take and record the class attendance register
  • Supervise students while they complete their tasks
  • Report lesson progress and any student issues to the teacher
  • Ensure student safety and well-being

Requirements:

  • Strong Communicators: Able to clearly deliver instructions to large groups of students
  • Punctual and Reliable: Ready to start promptly and committed to consistent attendance
  • Patient and Calm: Capable of handling challenging classroom situations with composure
  • Flexible and Adaptable: Willing to cover diverse subjects and quickly adjust to school needs
