Do you enjoy working with young people aged 11-18? Have you considered working in Secondary Schools as a Cover Supervisor? We are working with a range of Secondary Schools across London who are looking for confident, professional and dedicated people to work as Cover Supervisors in their schools to provide short-term and daily cover for teachers. As a Cover Supervisor you will work in secondary schools covering classes and ensuring students are working on tasks whilst teachers are absent or engaged in other activities and meetings. This is a key role within secondary schools and almost every secondary school will engage cover supervisors to allow teachers. This is great opportunity to work on flexible basis and gain experience within secondary schools. Cover Supervisors are required for the full school day - 8.30am to 3.45pm (approx.) Flexible work options: Most Cover Supervisors begin work on a short-term/supply basis. This is ideal if you just want to work a few days in local schools, or want to build experience within the secondary school sector. For more experienced Cover Supervisors, we have full-time contracts available. You do not need any formal qualifications to be a Cover Supervisor, but we do require you to have had some experience working with 11-18-year-olds. Cover Supervisor work is ideal for: Graduates who are considering becoming Secondary school teachers; Youth workers; Summer camp leaders; Sports coaches for 11-18 yrs; People who have experience supporting young offenders. You will need an Enhanced DBS certificate to work with children and 2 references covering the past two years. If you haven't got a DBS, we can help you apply for one from the UK Disclosure and barring service. Most importantly you need a confident, positive and professional approach to working with young people.
