Job Description

Cover Supervisor – Daily supply, starting as soon as possible. These flexible opportunities are ideal for Cover Supervisors who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working on a daily supply basis in Diss and the surrounding areas, supporting secondary schools with short-term cover needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment
  • deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task
  • manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and classroom activity
  • support the wider school community and uphold safeguarding standards
  • adapt quickly to different school environments and expectations

Requirements

  • Experience working with secondary-aged pupils in a school or youth setting
  • confident in managing classroom behaviour and engaging learners
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • flexible, reliable, and able to work across a range of subjects
  • a degree or relevant qualification is desirable but not essential
  • enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
