Job Description:

We are looking for confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across the Wirral. This is the perfect role for those who can lead a classroom, manage student behaviour, and ensure learning continues across the peninsula's diverse schools. Previous experience in a school or childcare setting is preferred. Location: Across the Wirral-Birkenhead, Wallasey, West Kirby, Bebington, Heswall, Bromborough, and Pensby. Start Date: After Easter. ... Role Type: We offer both long-term placements and flexible day-to-day supply.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the classroom and ensure pre-set work is completed to a high standard
  • Maintain a safe and productive learning environment through effective behaviour management
  • Respond to student queries and provide guidance on assigned tasks
  • Collect completed work and provide detailed handover notes for the regular teacher
  • Ensure all school safeguarding and health and safety policies are strictly followed

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or readiness to apply for one)
  • Confidence in managing groups of 25-30 students
