Job Description:

We are looking for adaptable and resilient Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across the North Wales coast and border regions. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are fluent in English (and ideally Welsh, though not essential) to support the next generation in a classroom setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise students across various subjects
  • Ensure pupils complete pre-planned work left by the absent teacher
  • Maintain a positive learning environment by enforcing school behaviour codes
  • Assist pupils with queries regarding the set tasks and learning materials
  • Register students and return completed work to the department head
  • Manage any immediate classroom emergencies according to school procedures

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children/young people (11-16 years)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Strong verbal and written skills to engage students effectively
