Job Description

Pink Tile Education is proud to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the Bognor Regis area in their search for a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is confident leading a classroom in the absence of the usual teacher. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning, delivering set work, and ensuring students remain engaged and focused in a positive and structured environment. The school is looking for someone who is calm under pressure, able to build rapport quickly, and confident in managing classroom behaviour while supporting students to stay on task and make progress.

  • Behaviour Management: Effectively implement the school's behaviour policy, maintaining a positive, orderly atmosphere and dealing with any immediate issues promptly
  • Supporting Learning: Respond to general queries from students regarding their work, helping them access materials and stay engaged (no subject-specific teaching required)
  • Administrative Duties: Register student attendance and leave detailed, accurate notes for the returning teacher regarding lesson progress and behaviour
  • School Ethos: Act as a positive role model, promoting the school's values and maintaining high expectations for all students
