Job Description:

We are looking to appoint a well organised, motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor Co-ordinator who will organise the daily cover arrangements for planned and unplanned staff absences. This is a key role in ensuring the daily smooth running of the school. We are looking to recruit an inspiring Cover Supervision Co-Ordinator to join our team. An opportunity has arisen for a Cover Supervision Co-Ordinator. You will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating and allocating daily cover arrangements for planned and unplanned staff absences. This role is fast paced and varied, and the successful candidate will need to be able to respond quickly to changes as they happen and resolve operational issues as they arise, whilst remaining calm and professional under pressure.

Job Responsibility:

  • Organise the daily cover arrangements for planned and unplanned staff absences
  • Plan, co-ordinate and allocate daily cover arrangements
  • Liaise with supply agencies
  • Deploy internal staff and external supply teachers to their classes
  • Administer room changes and any other cover as it arises during the day
  • Provide proactive supervision and delivery of set lessons for absent teachers
  • Follow the allocated lesson plan whilst maintaining a positive climate for learning
  • Respond quickly to changes and resolve operational issues
  • Establish and develop excellent links with local supply agencies

Requirements:

  • Ability to remain calm and professional
  • Confident communicator and excellent communication skills
  • Good understanding of ICT, including the effective use of the Office Suite of programs
  • Ability to build good relationships with children and adults
  • Ability to combine firmness with empathy
  • Adaptable with an ability to work within a flexible and busy environment
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible
  • Excellent administrative and IT skills
  • Calm and professional manner
  • Relate well to young people
  • Previous experience of working with young people to encourage learning and motivate students to build positive relationships
