Job Description:

Brook Street in partnership with the Ministry of justice has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Court Usher. This is great opportunity to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.

Job Responsibility:

  • IT skills - Microsoft, teams etc
  • Data entry - sourcing information in relation to individual cases / defendants
  • Courtroom set up
  • Jury selection within courtroom
  • Swear witnesses in courtroom
  • Calling cases & defendants into court from waiting area and via Video Call
  • Liase with members of the public / defendants / barristers/ witness support staff/ cell staff
  • Photocopying & printing
  • Attend morning team briefings
  • Confidant customer service skills

Requirements:

  • Dealing with customers
  • Time management
  • Basic IT skills
  • Are able to deal with difficult customers
