Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented individuals that want a career as a Court Reporter to join our legal operations team in Miami, Florida. This role involves accurately transcribing legal proceedings, preparing official documentation, and ensuring compliance with notary requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on precision and confidentiality while working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accurately transcribe legal proceedings, ensuring all spoken elements are documented verbatim
  • Prepare and maintain official legal documentation, adhering to strict formatting and legal standards
  • Collaborate with legal professionals to ensure timely and accurate reporting of court activities
  • Obtain or maintain notary public certification, with support provided for certification costs
  • Conduct thorough reviews of transcripts to ensure consistency and eliminate errors
  • Manage transcription equipment and software to ensure smooth operations during court sessions
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive legal information
  • Provide administrative support to legal teams as needed, including scheduling and documentation tasks
  • Stay updated on legal terminology and transcription best practices to enhance performance

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in a relevant field is required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in transcription or related legal work
  • Familiarity with legal documentation and terminology is preferred
  • Notary public certification or willingness to obtain it is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with transcription software and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a demanding environment
  • MUST be able to travel to 33158, 33149, 33131 and 33156
