Job Description

We are looking for an organised, proactive and adaptable Court Administrator to join the team at Truro Combined Courts. This is a fast paced, varied role supporting the smooth running of court operations. You will play a key part in helping court users navigate the justice system, working closely with the judiciary, public, and partner agencies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service experience who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys work that makes a real impact.

Job Responsibility

  • Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings, and meetings
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining records on internal systems
  • Accurately resulting court cases and interpreting information on court files
  • Checking and verifying documents, records, accounts, and claims
  • Collecting and assembling information for reports, statistics, warrants, and returns
  • Communicating professionally with the public, judiciary, court users, and external agencies
  • General administrative support as required to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of administrative experience
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • 5 GCSEs A*-C (or equivalent)
  • Strong IT literacy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive mindset and high attention to detail
