We are seeking a Lecturer - Course Leader - Foundation and Supported Learning to join our team. In this role you will play a pivotal role in shaping outstanding student experiences. You will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of across programmes, providing academic leadership, supporting teaching staff, and ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment. Working closely with students and stakeholders, you will foster an inclusive, high-performing environment that enables learners to reach their full potential and progress successfully in their academic and professional journeys.
Job Responsibility
Responsible for the whole study programme overseeing the academic quality, delivery, enrichment, student outcomes and course administration
To monitor standards of students’ work against awarding organisation guidelines and to raise achievement levels
Working with area leadership teams to ensure management of quality assurance and provision
Ensuring appropriate requirements are met for external verification
Lead on modelling best practise through the development of subject curricula to include Technology Enhanced Learning and innovative delivery methods
Designing, developing, and reviewing curriculum materials in line with programme specifications and quality assurance frameworks
Delivering engaging and innovative teaching using a variety of pedagogical approaches to meet diverse learner needs
Assessing student work in accordance with established criteria and providing timely, constructive feedback to support progress and achievement
Monitoring and tracking student performance, implementing appropriate interventions where necessary
Requirements
Proven leadership experience, including team management, decision-making, and the ability to motivate and guide others
Experience of working with young people
Teaching or delivering training experience
Experience of developing effective learning and assessment materials
Education to level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in required subject or equivalent OR Education to degree level and/or above in required subject or equivalent
Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent
Level 5 Teaching Qualification/ completing within 3 years of employment or 3 years of the first available course
