Job Description:

Involves providing courteous and efficient package delivery, sorting and collection services and ensure the delivery of packages by completing necessary paperwork and recording shipments in accordance with FedEx Express service standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides efficient and safe delivery and pick-up of packages and documents
  • Operates non-articulated vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Accomplishes accurate and timely selection and inspection of assigned packages
  • Seeks additional business from current customers and attempts to gain new business
  • Answers customer questions on FedEx feature of service
  • Ensures that packages conform to FedEx features of service and that proper labeling is provided
  • Determines legality of packages including special requirements for dangerous goods and international shipments
  • Scans packages according to prescribed procedures
  • Ensures customers have adequate supply of FedEx materials for shipping
  • Loads and unloads aircraft, containers, and company vehicles
  • Cleans, washes, and performs minor maintenance to company vehicles
  • Provides and collects necessary paperwork related to package pickup and delivery
  • Ensures the security of FedEx Express and customer property
  • Collects tax invoices from delivered shipments

Requirements:

  • High School diploma/Equivalent preferred
  • Basic English skills preferred
  • One (1) year of experience driving 3.5 ton. trucks
  • Must possess appropriate license for vehicle assigned in accordance with specific country regulations
  • Good driving record
  • Must be 21 years old or older
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs. (25kgs) and to maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs. (68kgs) with appropriate equipment
  • Good verbal and writing communication skills, human relations, and team player
  • Must be able to successfully complete Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and math sections of the Basic Skills Test
