As the Country Sourcing Operations Leader for IKEA Australia & New Zealand, you will be responsible for leading and securing a cost-efficient sourcing model for capacities and capabilities across warehousing, transportation, and services. You will drive the deployment of process-compliant sourcing solutions to foster data-driven and effective sourcing-to-pay processes with clear performance goals. Ultimately, you will lead the sourcing of an optimal capacity portfolio to ensure a smooth handover for network execution and a positive customer experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading the sourcing agenda and improvements, ensuring process compliance to foster a digital, data-driven sourcing organisation with clear objectives, and secure long-term development for growth at the lowest possible cost through efficient sourcing activities
  • Managing all assigned contracts in the market, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, SLAs, performance metrics, and legal/risk requirements through strong supplier relationship management to secure continued development and high performance
  • Developing a robust pool of potential service partners and cultivate long-term supplier relationships to secure short, mid, and long-term capacity for growth, positioning IKEA as a preferred partner
  • Ensuring alignment with defined CFF Sourcing objectives and goals related to growth and cost plans, taking responsibility for sourcing design, Source-to-Pay process compliance, and development projects across CFF, especially for the last mile network as part of the end-to-end omnichannel network and the core service offer
  • Acting as a strategic sourcing expert, sharing knowledge with colleagues and business partners to support their competence development, promoting effective sourcing principles, ensuring efficient information flow, and aligning with group, partners, and stakeholders on relevant topics

Requirements

  • University degree (Economics, Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management) or relevant strategic sourcing working experience (transport/logistics, services and/or home furnishing)
  • 4+ years of working experience in a management position (preferably in distribution, retail, logistics, or similar)
  • Proven successful leadership in a large organisation, delivering both business results and people development
  • Knowledge of legislation/regulations governing the transport and services industry
  • Experience in securing the implementation of mid-term and long-term strategies and plans with clear objectives and goals, including performance follow-up
  • Strategic sourcing experience in a large volume organisation (preferably in the area of indirect materials)
  • Experience in contract management, business development, key account management, or similar
  • Successfully led projects on a country/market/national level
