Job Description:

We seek a Dutch speaking dynamic and results-driven Country Sales Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading activities and achieving commercial targets within the territory by effectively managing the dealer and OEM distribution channel and maximizing sales and profits for Mercury Marine and Quicksilver, as well as various parts and accessories.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for Marine Trade Area analysis within the scope: identifying regional strengths and weaknesses and formulating plans to strengthen the dealer network
  • Implement dealer network changes by evaluating prospective new dealers from a retail, service, and financial viewpoint to determine whether the dealer has the strengths required to operate effectively for the brand(s)
  • Manage a dealer network by helping to identify and drive improvements in retail performance through improvements in merchandising, local marketing and CRM
  • Manage the dealer wholesale commitment process to maximise wholesales into the dealer while properly taking into account the dealer’s inventory. Build strong partnerships with the dealer by creating business and marketing plans to drive growth and following them through
  • Coordinate OEM efforts within the assigned territory to drive potential OEM partnerships
  • plan and develop sales and service for OEM. Seek and investigate potential new OEM customers within the assigned territory to increase Mercury Marine's business
  • Actively manage dealer relationships to drive increasing brand loyalty and sales
  • Actively promote the brands to new and prospective dealers to motivate and drive dealer interest in and desire for them
  • Represents BeNelux in the monthly planning and SIOP cycle
  • Contributes significantly to market and competition analytics as well as the creation of countermeasures
  • To understand the changing customer requirements and market conditions and respond by influencing the development of services/products that meet customer needs
  • Maintain knowledge of the overall marine market, including market forces, consumer trends, product trends, growth trends, and regional and national/differences with the goal of identifying revenue growth opportunities. Maintain knowledge of existing product portfolio performance and trends, including wholesale sales, retail sales, pipeline
  • Identifying the resolving issues with the dealer that are affecting retail performance, profitability or customer satisfaction and, where appropriate, drive corrective actions with the support of the other Brunswick teams (Sales Admin, After Sales, Marketing etc)
  • Support marketing in terms of local language proofreading, boat shows organisation and press test
  • Monitor market retail activity and market wholesale activity within the assigned area

Requirements:

  • Eight years of field sales experience in an OEM and Dealer environment, preferably within the marine or automotive industry
  • Ability to manage and strengthen dealer and OEM relationships
  • technical background and experience is an advantage, especially in the mechanics and electronics
  • Financial Management
  • Native Dutch, Fluent French and English level, both written and spoken
  • Positive attitude and open for new ideas
  • Customer orientation
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Displays initiative
  • Ability to work independently
  • Available for frequent travel in the region and to the Headquarters in Belgium
  • Stress resistant
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office & ERP structures
