Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive strategies, action plans, and budgets to drive significant growth and expansion of the country
  • Spearhead business development initiatives, aligning with global company strategies and adapting them to the country’s specific market
  • Oversee and optimize organizational arrangements, systems, and processes to ensure top-tier efficiency and effectiveness in resource deployment, supporting long-term development
  • Ensure the meticulous implementation and monitoring of approved budgets and strategic plans
  • Enforce and adapt ABL’s group policies and procedures to fit the country’s unique business environment
  • Direct the production of high-quality consultancy/engineering deliverables, ensuring they meet client expectations and project requirements
  • Coordinate with regional and global teams to jointly market services, share resources, and leverage cross-selling opportunities for maximum impact
  • Lead recruitment efforts in accordance with the ABL recruitment plan, collaborating closely with the HR Manager and aligning with financial budgets
  • Exercise stringent control over sub-contractor qualifications, quality, costs, and performance, ensuring the highest standards
  • Provide overall leadership and management control of the country’s business unit, ensuring consistent growth, strong profit margins, and robust cost control and cash recovery practices
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships through regular engagement, ensuring high satisfaction with service provision and delivery expectations
  • Provide visionary leadership, management, and direction for all personnel, including FTEs and sub-contractors, within the country’s team
  • Drive the development and motivation of the country’s team, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration with other senior managers
  • Establish and achieve ambitious collective goals (including regional objectives) with fellow senior managers and regional support functions
  • Contribute to the creation and delivery of precise and insightful progress and financial reports to ABL Management
  • Oversee the internal audit process, ensuring thorough implementation of resulting action plans
  • Maintain a comprehensive and accurate understanding of contract pricing mechanisms, ensuring optimal financial outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with other Country Managers, Directors, and Senior staff to ensure technical compliance and transfer lessons learned from previous projects across the network to enhance major projects
  • Develop, secure authorization for, and execute a robust national-specific sales and marketing plan to achieve significant revenue and profit objectives
  • Represent the country at high-level global meetings, contributing to the shaping of international strategies and policies
  • Lead initiatives to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, driving innovation and growth
  • Ensure the continuous development of key senior staff, promoting leadership and professional growth within the organization
  • Act as a key spokesperson for the company within the country, enhancing the company’s reputation and influence in the industry
  • Provide dedicated, visible leadership and demonstrate your commitment to QHSE through active consultation and involvement
  • Accountable for all the Quality & HSE aspects within the company / business segment and shall promote QHSE related activities within all operations

Requirements:

  • Master Mariner (STCW II/2), Chief Engineer (STCW III/2) or relevant degree, or equivalent with significant offshore related experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive relevant business line experience
  • Fully conversant with marine and engineering consultancy to the offshore oil and gas markets
  • At least 10 years relevant professional experience within the Offshore Industry with at least 5 years hands-on as tow master, marine representative or equivalent experience
  • Experience in executing mid to large scale executive business plans and project development
  • Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus
  • Project orientated with a keen interest in offshore engineering and marine management
  • Will have relevant offshore industry experience
  • Energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and appropriate professional image
  • Well organized and self-directed individual with strong business/commercial skills
  • Outgoing and pragmatic with strength of character, proactive and insightful with good man management skills
  • Team player with excellent communication skills

  • Exposure to pilotage, vessel inspections and/or warranty surveys
  • Full technical understanding of the marine and engineering consultancy business, including adjusting, ideally within an operational management role
