As part of its continued African growth strategy, our Client is seeking to appoint a commercially strong and operationally credible Country Manager to lead and expand its Mozambique operation, with a strong focus on mining, industrial services and strategic business growth. This is a high-impact executive leadership role suited to an engineering leader with deep exposure to mining, EPC/EPCM, industrial services, construction, maintenance or heavy industrial environments across Africa. The successful candidate will take full accountability for operational leadership, commercial growth, client engagement, profitability and strategic expansion within Mozambique. This opportunity is open to both local and expatriate candidates. A competitive expatriate package will be offered to suitably qualified international candidates.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the company's Mozambique business strategy, operational delivery and commercial growth
  • Drive expansion across mining, industrial, infrastructure and engineering sectors
  • Build and strengthen executive-level client relationships across mining houses, EPCM firms and industrial operators
  • Oversee operational performance, project execution, financial management and governance
  • Lead and develop high-performing multicultural operational and leadership teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering essential - mechanical preferred, others such as electrical, industrial, civil or mining will be considered
  • 10 – 15+ years within mining, industrial services, engineering, EPC/EPCM or heavy industrial sectors
  • Mozambique experience highly preferred
  • Strong commercial, operational and business development capability
  • Portuguese professional language proficiency preferred
  • Proven senior leadership or country management experience within Africa
  • Previous experience working in Mozambique is essential
  • Strong understanding of operating within complex African industrial and mining environments
