Job Description

Klohn Crippen Berger's (KCB) Latin American Business Unit has an immediate opening for a Brazil Country Manager. This role will focus on expanding our business portfolio, strengthening client relationships, leading projects, and guiding and developing the team in our Belo Horizonte office. The selected candidate will contribute to the professional development and management of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with other Team Managers across the Latin American Business Unit. Reporting to the Latin American Operations Manager, the Country Manager will also carry out technical work while building and mentoring a team of motivated professionals committed to technical excellence and successful project delivery.

Job Responsibility

  • Being responsible for the country’s commercial and financial results
  • Developing client relationships and strengthening market positioning
  • Leading the development of solutions for multidisciplinary projects
  • Engaging with clients, colleagues, and suppliers on environmentally focused field programs and design solutions
  • Contributing to projects across all phases, from feasibility studies through to mine closure
  • Assisting in managing teamwork to keep staff engaged and productive
  • Promoting technical excellence within the team
  • Mentoring and coaching staff, challenging them to grow while supporting their professional development
  • Applying effective problem-solving techniques to help staff navigate early career stages and overcome challenges
  • Providing regular feedback and conducting performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement
  • Encouraging open dialogue to foster a collaborative and positive office culture built on integrity, trust, communication, creativity, and teamwork

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Postgraduate specialization in Project Management
  • Executive MBA – Master of Business Administration (desired)
  • Must have at least 18 years of experience in leadership roles, business development, project management, and technical activities
  • Proven experience of at least 10 years working outside Brazil, in multinational corporate environments, with tangible results in commercial growth and technical positioning
  • The ideal candidate will be a professional with a solid track record in leading multidisciplinary teams, capable of driving expansion strategies and consolidating the organization’s presence in highly competitive markets
  • Languages: Advanced English (mandatory), Portuguese and Spanish (desire)
  • Be located in, or willing to relocate to Belo Horizonte, Brazil
