Job Responsibility

  • Assist Country Legal Manager to lead, review, support and secure the legal aspects of all the businesses and operations in assigned Ingka country
  • Actively cooperate with Group Legal & Governance and contribute to the Business Plan and development projects and corresponding roadmap, as well as support implementation
  • Cooperate with, integrate in the business and build good relations with stakeholders to secure mutually sustainable solutions
  • Proactively support the management and other stakeholders, in order to run the IKEA business, as well as to secure the rights and assess the obligations, in order to reduce exposure to legal risks and to optimize business opportunities
  • Support the business to be updated in relevant international and local legal and governance developments, including changes in international, domestic and case laws and regulations
  • Review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements and legal documents
  • Develop competence and provide education to relevant stakeholders in the area of laws and regulations
  • Implement standard process and ways of working for the legal area in the Ingka Group

Requirements

  • University Degree/master's degree in law with a strong academic record
  • Minimum 12 years of professional experience in legal and governance functions, with significant exposure to real estate and leasing for retail and office spaces
  • Proven experience in reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing a broad spectrum of legal agreements and documentation related to real estate transactions and lease management
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal matters clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information from multiple sources to support sound legal and business decisions
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of achieving balanced and commercially viable outcomes for diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic business environment while providing practical and solution-oriented legal guidance
