Job Description:

Our purpose is to lead and secure the business from the legal & governance perspective. Also, safeguard future opportunities by providing business with expertise on relevant areas such as corporate, agreements, litigations, legal compliance and governance. When working within legal at Ingka Group you will cooperate both with our legal team on a Group level as well as a legal community world wide.

Job Responsibility:

Taking clear responsibility for legal matters and drive forward legal topics to run a business effectively
Using your leadership skills to nurture employee growth and ensuring task completion through guidance and support
Support management and other stakeholders to secure rights, assess obligations, reduce legal risks, and optimize business opportunities
Provide leaders with legal competence and confidence to make informed decisions
Inspired by working together in an ever-changing complex environment
Pro-actively support the management and other stakeholders to run the IKEA business and to secure the rights and assess the obligations to reduce exposure to legal risks and to optimize business opportunities
Equip leaders and stakeholders with legal competence and confidence to make informed decisions by leveraging strong guiding and counselling skills
Responsible for implementing the appropriate corporate governance measures locally according to group guidelines and support management to organize for compliance with relevant steering documents, delegations etc
Keep updated in relevant international and local legal developments
Create an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers

Requirements:

Proven leadership: You have directly or indirectly led teams before, and know how to inspire, coach and develop people
A degree of Master of Laws in Sweden
You are good at building strong relationships, collaborating and co-creating and unleash entrepreneurs through your leadership
Extensive experience of reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad spectrum of agreements and legal information
Can, comfortably handle unclear or unpredictable situations and express ideas and opinions effectively in both writing and spoken conversations, both in English and Swedish
