Job Description

As the Country Director for Japan at Canary Technologies, you will take ownership of prospecting, closing, and managing revenue within the region. You will work directly with customers to build relationships, drive growth, and ensure the successful adoption of our products in the Japanese market. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a strong understanding of the local market and the ability to execute independently.

  • Revenue Growth: Deliver against an overall revenue quota and establish sustainable revenue streams
  • Market Development: Build and execute go-to-market strategies, leveraging direct engagements, channel partnerships, and customer renewals to drive business growth
  • Strategic Planning: Develop a clear regional growth strategy, focusing on market penetration, customer acquisition, and long-term scalability
  • Thought Leadership: Represent Canary Technologies as a trusted industry expert at conferences, events, and networking opportunities to elevate the brand and drive regional awareness
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global teams across Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to align regional goals with company objectives and ensure seamless execution
  • Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to support regional growth. Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and excellence
  • Prospecting & Outreach: Identify and engage target accounts through diverse channels, including email, phone, social media, direct mail, and in-person meetings

  • Serve as the primary relationship holder for all in-country partners, including MMOs, banks, and financial institutions
  • Lead ongoing partner engagement, ensuring clear and consistent communication, alignment to Group strategy, and proactive management of partner expectations
  • Own and lead all in-country service review meetings, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews
  • Maintain partner satisfaction through regular in-person and virtual engagements, ensuring strong local presence and responsiveness
