Job Description

This function contributes to IKEA by driving the digital agenda while ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient operations. It safeguards our customers, co-workers, and business through robust cyber security and data privacy practices embedded across all digital products and processes. As Country Cyber Security and Data Privacy Manager, you will lead the implementation of IKEA's cyber security and data privacy strategy at a country level. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies while embedding secure and privacy-focused practices into ways of working, systems, and operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive cyber security and data privacy initiatives across the organisation
  • Guide stakeholders on information security and privacy topics and implement global strategies locally
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal governance and stay updated on relevant regulations
  • Drive communication, training, and awareness on cyber security and privacy topics
  • Manage risks by performing assessments and implementing mitigation actions
  • Build stakeholder alignment and capability through coaching, guidance, and effective collaboration
  • Monitor performance indicators such as risk levels, training completion, and response times on incidents
  • Handle individual privacy requests and complaints in a timely and compliant manner
  • Stay updated on security trends, tools, and threats to continuously improve practices

Requirements

  • Experienced leader with a strong background in cyber security and data privacy
  • Proven ability to drive change in complex organisations
  • Solid knowledge of privacy and security frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, NIST) or willingness to learn and obtain the required certifications

  • Complete the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) process and controls required for all initiatives, new products and services
  • Assess, evaluate, and validate controls through processes and tools such as the MCA and KRIs as appropriate for data privacy risk
  • Support the product heads, function heads, COOs and In Business Risk team on gap analysis and the implementation of global policy requirements and regional standards, and on the assessment of the legal and regulatory requirements with Country Legal and Compliance as well as the development of local procedures as related to data privacy
  • Support periodic reviews of the Business’s data privacy processes and control and validate changes as a result of such reviews
  • Track and review deviations and risk acceptances when raised and at the time of renewal to assess the need for deviations and ascertain that the business has implemented and documented effective compensating controls
  • Follow Escalation Policy and procedures to ensure effective escalation and socialization of material risk events and issues across businesses for any Data Privacy related items
  • Escalate material risk events and issues appropriately
  • Assist business in creation of Issues/CAPs related to Data Privacy as needed (issues and CAPs owned by Product/Region business owner). Track and escalate as necessary
