Job Responsibility:
Secure compliance in every customs declaration and to identify and investigate and act to resolve inaccuracies and deviations
Handling of information and documents to or from other IKEA units, external service providers and authorities to ensure timely, accurate and compliant in bond, declaration/entry and release from authorities for imports and exports
Maintain master data for filing relevant declarations with appropriate authorities and to update standard operating procedures for assigned tasks
Secure customs relevant data and documents are available on time to secure timely release of imports and exports
Secure they are properly distributed, filed and archived according to import and export requirements, including issuance and maintenance of certificates of origin, free trade agreement (FTA) documents, exporter certificates, licenses, attestations, etc.
Share and maintain relevant customs knowledge, collaborating with co-workers to share insights
Secure all declarations are accurate, complete, and made in compliance with assigned country requirements and regulations as well as with internal controls
Secure payment reconciliation process to ensure duty, VAT, and external provider charges are reconciled to entries submitted and external service provider agreements
Requirements:
2/3 years of work experience in Customs Brokerage
Experience in International Trade or Traffic/Logistics departments would also be highly valued
Strong analytical and numerical skills in Customs Declarations towards Tax Agency, with the ability to identify the necessary actions
Experience in problem-solving and improving work processes
Fluency and strong communication skills in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
Collaborative mindset: ability to build relationships across the organization and influence others within one’s area of expertise through strong communication skills
Knowledge in Customs Software and Tariff database
Excellent computer skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
