Job Description:

Are you a resourceful 'handyperson' who enjoys helping others? A leading electrical distributor with over 100 years of expertise is looking for a Counter Support Associate to assist their sales team in Montreal. In this role, you won't be expected to be a sales expert on day one. Instead, you will act as the 'right hand' to our senior counter salesperson. Your goal is to learn the products, assist with customer requests, and ensure the counter runs smoothly. It is the perfect opportunity for someone proactive who wants to transition into a technical career.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist the Lead Salesperson in managing orders at the counter and via phone/email
  • Greet customers and assist in identifying basic electrical components and products
  • Prepare and pick orders for contractors visiting the branch
  • Learn inventory systems and technical specifications to gain autonomy over time

Requirements:

  • Eagerness to Learn: You aren't afraid to ask questions and can quickly absorb new technical information
  • Technical Aptitude: You are a DIYer at heart or have a genuine interest in the construction/electrical fields
  • Service-Oriented: Previous successful experience in customer service or retail
  • Resourcefulness: Ability to multitask effectively with a proactive, 'can-do' attitude
What we offer:
  • Competitive Pay: $22 to $23 per hour
  • Continuous Training: An ideal environment to develop solid technical knowledge
  • Career Gateway: A temporary mandate with a real opportunity to transition into a permanent role
