The Counter Staff Coordinator reports to the Supervisor and Manager of the Catering department. The incumbent will be responsible to lead and plan operational activities associated with counter staff in line with Black Wolf Bistro procedures and policies. This position will oversee daily operations and monitor counter staff while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure that all products are displayed correctly and the food labelling follows the Canadian Consumer Packaging and Labeling Act
Responsible of ordering of supplies and monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking to minimize outages and maximize sales opportunities
Evaluate sales data, generate reports, and update records to monitor product performance and sales trends, offering insight for inventory management decisions
Monitors department emails, ensuring that supply orders or messages are answered promptly
Ensures that the counter staff maintains cleanliness and organization of the counter, display cases, and dining area
Maintain equipment, send appropriate notifications when repairs are needed through internal reporting system
Provides the supervisor with updates and feedback regarding employee performance and attendance
Oversees daily HACCP entries including receiving, cooking, and cooling temperatures
Ensure daily meal production follows daily specifications and quantities, and reduces food waste
Reviews and compares waste sheets and prep levels to ensure accuracy and minimize waste. Monitor waste records and prep levels to ensure accuracy and reduce waste
Monitor deliveries by recording any shorts or deficiencies and reporting them to the Catering Supervisor
Conduct all interactions in a positive, customer-service focused approach when helping customers and/or communicating with fellow team members
Provide encouragement and guidance to fellow staff members
Collaborate with other team leaders to foster the growth and development of the bistro project
Requirements:
Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract and the incumbent must have their own vehicle for commuting
Three years of experience in the hospitality industry or knowledge of the foodservice operations
Must be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and submit the required documents within a specified timeline
Must be physically fit (able to bend, kneel, crawl, stoop, climb, and lift up to 70 pounds repetitively)
Must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or show proof of right to work in Canada
Nice to have:
