Job Description:

ILIA is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Counter Manager to lead our presence at Liberty. This individual should be passionate about clean beauty and motivated to educate consumers who may be new to our brand. The Counter Manager will champion our brand values, elevate the client experience, and drive sustainable business growth through artistry, education, and strategic retail execution. This role plays a critical part in building brand loyalty and performance within our key retail locations. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, service-oriented, and energized by building relationships with clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead by example to achieve and exceed individual and counter sales goals
  • Act as the primary brand ambassador for ILIA at Liberty by delivering an elevated and consistent client experience
  • Analyze sales performance, competitive activity, and client insights to identify opportunities for growth and partner with management on strategic initiatives
  • Drive key retail metrics including units per transaction and average order value through strong selling and clienteling practices
  • Plan and execute impactful in-store animations, events, and activations to grow brand awareness and engagement
  • Ensure ILIA brand standards are delivered at every client touchpoint—both in-store and beyond
  • Maintain expert-level product knowledge to educate clients and support customer acquisition and retention
  • Execute all education initiatives, tools, and brand programs with consistency and excellence
  • Actively participate in all training sessions, both virtual and in-store
  • Maintain consistent counter coverage and punctuality, addressing scheduling issues in real time
  • Uphold the highest visual merchandising standards
  • ensure the counter is clean, fully stocked, and brand-right at all times
  • Manage counter expenses within budget guidelines
  • Identify and escalate operational challenges to ensure timely resolution
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with store leadership, category managers, and ILIA EME team
  • Share weekly and monthly sales results, business insights, and performance updates with the Sr. Sales & Education Manager, UK
  • Build strong partnerships with Liberty stakeholders by providing key trends, commercial insights, and category feedback
  • Monitor inventory levels, track out-of-stocks, and partner with management to ensure timely replenishment

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in prestige beauty and/or skincare retail
  • experience in Liberty preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of people management experience, with a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated success achieving KPIs through exceptional service and strong selling skills
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a client-first mindset
  • Ability to remain agile and solution-oriented in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Commitment to upholding ILIA brand and presentation standards at Liberty
