Job Description:

To work as part of an early help Mental Health Hub team delivering confidential and non-judgmental humanistic counselling to young people aged 11 – 25 years. To support the service by working flexibly to meet the needs of service users and contribute to the smooth running of the Mental Health Hub.

Job Responsibility:

  • To support the service by working flexibly to meet the needs of service users and contribute to the smooth running of the Mental Health Hub.

Requirements:

  • A counselling qualification at Diploma or degree level from a recognised course which would meet the requirements for BACP Accreditation
  • Demonstrable post qualification experience of counselling with clients
  • Experience of working with young people
  • Knowledge and experience of applying safeguarding procedures with children and adults at risk
  • Experience of managing own case load, maintaining highest standards of record keeping, report writing, and referral procedures
  • Ability to enable young people to access and express emotions and to express, reflect upon and make sense of experiences that are confusing and distressing.
