Are you a qualified counsellor who wants to inspire and shape the next generation of practitioners? We’re looking for Hourly Paid Counselling Lecturers to join our growing Counselling team at New College Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your professional experience into the classroom, supporting learners as they develop the knowledge, skills and ethical awareness required for therapeutic practice. With flexible, hourly paid teaching, this role can sit alongside your counselling practice, giving you the chance to make a real impact while maintaining your professional work.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver engaging teaching across Level 3–6 Counselling programmes
  • Support learners to develop reflective, ethical and professional practice
  • Mark and assess student work, providing clear and constructive feedback
  • Contribute to quality processes and awarding body standards
  • Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • A qualified Counsellor (Level 4 or above) with relevant experience
  • Membership of a recognised professional body and commitment to CPD
  • A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
  • Strong communication skills and a learner-focused approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and professional standards
