Job Description:

The town of South Hadley seeks a qualified and passionate individual to serve as Council on Aging Director within the Human Services Department. Located at the Senior Center (opened 2021), this position oversees all aspects of the Council on Aging (COA) operations including social services, food, transportation, facility operations and staff management. The COA Director provides professional, administrative and supervisory leadership in developing and implementing programs and services that support the social, emotional, economic and health needs of the entire South Hadley community, with a focus on the older adult population.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversees all aspects of the Council on Aging (COA) operations including social services, food, transportation, facility operations and staff management
  • Provides professional, administrative and supervisory leadership in developing and implementing programs and services that support the social, emotional, economic and health needs of the entire South Hadley community, with a focus on the older adult population.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Three to five years related experience
  • Strong dedication to supporting older adults and a commitment to enhancing equitable access to resources for underserved populations.
