Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Costing Associate/Estimator to join our team in Cranston, Rhode Island. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the manufacturing sector, where you'll blend technical knowledge with customer-facing responsibilities. The role involves estimating costs for metal components, supporting customers with tailored solutions, and learning about manufacturing processes to enhance costing accuracy.

Job Responsibility:

Calculate cost estimates for metal screws and components using established algorithms and quotation tools
Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and developing effective solutions
Gain a thorough understanding of manufacturing operations to improve costing and quoting accuracy
Collaborate with production teams to ensure estimates align with operational capabilities
Adapt to new methods and processes to enhance cost estimation practices
Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to ensure clarity and satisfaction
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all cost estimates and quotations
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and propose recommendations
Stay current with industry trends and manufacturing techniques to refine estimations

Requirements:

Previous experience in machining or manufacturing is essential
Strong understanding of costing and estimation processes
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Familiarity with purchasing and sales processes is a plus
Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and methodologies quickly
Proficiency in analyzing data and generating accurate cost assessments
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose effective solutions
