A leading global real estate and construction consultancy is seeking a commercially aware Cost Manager to join their established London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Cost Manager to work across a diverse portfolio including commercial, residential and mixed-use developments, delivering high-quality cost management services within a client-focused environment. The successful Cost Manager will play a key role in supporting project delivery across the full lifecycle, working alongside senior stakeholders while maintaining control of day-to-day commercial activities. The Cost Manager will collaborate closely with clients, project managers and design teams to ensure accurate cost control and consistent delivery across multiple schemes.
Job Responsibility:
Preparing cost plans, budgets and feasibility studies
Supporting procurement, tender documentation and contract administration (JCT)
Managing project costs, variations and change control processes
Supporting risk management and value engineering initiatives
Assisting with valuations, payments and final account agreements
Producing regular cost reports and financial updates for clients
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
Experience in a Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor or similar role
Strong understanding of JCT contracts
Experience across the full project lifecycle
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
