Job Description:

The Cost Estimator II delivers accurate, discipline‑wide construction cost estimates that support the planning and execution of industrial facilities maintenance and infrastructure projects. The role performs comprehensive quantity take‑offs, analyzes labor, material, equipment, and productivity factors, and applies established estimating tools and standards to generate reliable ROM and task‑level cost data.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform Construction Cost Estimating activities in support of industrial base operations and maintenance of facilities infrastructure
  • Complete full quantity take-offs to support accurate estimates for all disciplines in industrial projects
  • Provide solid critical-thinking, analytical and communication skills in support of Project objectives
  • Maintain close attention to detail and manage time and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Exhibit proficiency in utilization of RS Means Estimating software
  • Ensure assigned projects are completed on time, and within approved scope and budget
  • Establish and maintain a filing system or database as needed for tracking project status
  • Develop, maintain, and produce documentation in support ROM and Task Plan efforts
  • Interface with customers to comply with scope and schedule requirements
  • Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (equivalent experience may be substituted)
  • 5+ years of job-related experience
  • Experience in HVAC and Fire Protection construction preferred
  • Proficient working knowledge of RS Means or similar Construction Cost Estimating software
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
  • Working knowledge in MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrated experience in meeting schedule deadlines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain required clearances/badges
  • Must have the ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
