As a Cost Engineer, you will play an integral part of project delivery across Engineering, Procurement & Manufacturing, Construction & Commissioning of a Nuclear Power Station. You will support the Cost and Forecasting discipline, aligned to the three critical success factors that underpin successful project delivery: Integrated baseline delivery; EPC critical path execution; Key milestone achievement to Commercial Operation Date (COD). You will work in a highly regulated nuclear environment with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, time, and cost.
Job Responsibility:
Produce and maintain accurate cost and forecast data aligned with CBS/WBS
Maintain all Cost and Forecast data in EcoSys, SAP or equivalent systems
Coordinate and produce Cost and Forecasting reports with commentary on key drivers and performance issues
Support Trend & Change processes, generate performance indicators, and provide feedback on risk and opportunities
Deliver insights to support robust decision-making using commercial and technical information
Provide analytical support for Senior Cost Engineers through analysis and interpretation of technical, financial, and performance data
Collaborate across the project to achieve outcomes in line with project values: Humility, Positivity, Respect, Solidarity, and Clarity
Apply fundamental project and business project controls principles and interface with wider management processes
Promote a culture of governance, risk awareness, and compliance
Ensure all project documents, particularly Sensitive Nuclear Information, are correctly protected and marked
Requirements:
Degree in project management, project controls, engineering, or related field
Experience in a Project Management environment
Proven experience in a project controls discipline
Understanding of project controls methodologies and techniques
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Ability to collaborate across organisational boundaries
Nice to have:
Experience working on a major construction project
Experience in the Nuclear Industry
