Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and manage all cost control and business performance activities for the manufacturing plants
  • Partner closely with Plant Management, Operations and Finance teams on cost management, budgeting and cash flow planning
  • Monitor plant cost performance, budget utilization and purchase order (PO) controls to ensure financial discipline
  • Perform detailed cost variance analysis (material, labour, overheads), identify cost drivers and improvement opportunities
  • Support plant management with timely and accurate cost insights for operational and production decisions
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency and integrity of cost data within ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and Power BI reports
  • Drive continuous improvement activities related to plant cost control processes, reporting and system usage
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and internal control requirements at plant level
  • Coordinate with HQ-Finance on reporting, budgeting and month-end activities
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and assignments as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics or related disciplines
  • Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience in plant cost control, cost accounting or manufacturing finance
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures (materials, labour, overheads)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for cost analysis, modelling and scenario evaluation
  • Analytical, hands-on and detail-oriented with a practical mindset
  • Able to work independently at plant level and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Good communication skills, proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia are required and Mandarin is strong advantage
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP) is preferred
  • Power BI exposure or working knowledge is an added advantage
  • Willingness to travel when required
