Job Description:

BAE Systems is seeking a Cost Analyst with exceptional analytic skills to join the Supplier Cost Analyst team. As a Supplier Cost Analyst, you will analyze supplier cost proposals and provide recommended negotiation positions to Subcontracts/ Procurement. Supplier Proposal Analyses are compliant with Electronic Systems estimating system policies and guidance, FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)/ DFARs (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations) and Truthful Cost Pricing Data (TCPD) requirements. In addition, you will support customer request for information and audits of proposed material.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze supplier cost proposals and provide recommended negotiation positions to Subcontracts/ Procurement
  • Ensure Supplier Proposal Analyses are compliant with Electronic Systems estimating system policies and guidance, FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)/ DFARs (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations) and Truthful Cost Pricing Data (TCPD) requirements
  • Support customer request for information and audits of proposed material

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree preferably in a business, financial, or accounting discipline and six (6) year's work or equivalent experience or a Master’s Degree with two (2) years’ experience
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties
  • Be able to prioritize and self-manage a multitasked workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong problem-solving, analytical and in-depth research skills
  • Effective communications skills to include writing reports of significant complexity and length. Detail oriented
  • Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel and suppliers
  • Utilize analytical and computer skills, and various software packages to prepare appropriate reports and documents
  • Support the analysis, evaluation, development and implementation process and system improvements within budget while adhering to strict time requirements and schedule

Nice to have:

  • Experience in proposal preparation with a working knowledge of Project Finance, Contracts or Subcontract Administration with a working knowledge of Cost & Price Analysis for Department of Defense procurements
  • A working understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) with an emphasis on FAR/DFAR compliant proposals
  • Familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards, Contract Cost Principles and Procedures, and Accounting and Proposal preparation procedures
