Job Description:

Robert Half has partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Mebane, NC to assist them in hiring an experienced Cost Accounting Manager. This is an onsite position that will play a critical role in their industries operations. The position entails a strong emphasis on cost accounting and inventory management, with a responsibility to provide advanced financial analysis of business transactions. The role will also encompass leading cycle activities and conducting ad-hoc analysis for the site, alongside the implementation of actions to improve operations.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct extensive cost analysis to identify potential areas for cost savings and process improvements
Analyze and reconcile product costs, Inventories, Total cost of production, and cost of sales
Provide assistance in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cost of production statement
Review and audit production JOBs, BOMs, material costs and labor rates
Assist in the month-end close process, which includes the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
Support forecast and budgeting processes, providing analysis on variances between actual results and forecasts
Assist internal and external auditors during financial audits and prepare audit schedules
Create financial forecasts and models for strategic decision-making and sensitivity analysis for the site
Safeguard Capex, depreciation, and disposals.

Requirements:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
Proficiency in Cost Accounting and Standard Cost Accounting
Demonstrated experience in Inventory Analysis and Variance Analysis
Skilled in Financial Reporting and Month End Close processes
In-depth understanding of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and Bill of Materials (BOM)
Familiarity with SAP software is a must
Experience in Fixed Asset Accounting is required
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required, an advanced degree or certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
