Job Description:

We are proactively tracking talent for a growing manufacturing organization seeking a Cost Accountant with 3–5 years of hands‑on cost accounting experience. This role will support manufacturing operations through accurate cost analysis, inventory valuation, and financial reporting, partnering closely with operations, production, and finance leadership.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain and analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and standard costs
  • Calculate and analyze labor, material, and overhead costs
  • Perform standard cost development and maintenance, including cost roll‑ups
  • Prepare and analyze cost variances (PPV, labor efficiency, overhead absorption)
  • Support inventory accounting, including WIP, finished goods, and cycle counts
  • Assist with month‑end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Partner with operations to identify cost drivers and process improvement opportunities
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost updates as needed
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience with BOMs, labor costing, and inventory accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including: Pivot tables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, SUMIFS
  • Experience working within an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operations teams
