Job Description:

This role will help build out the cost accounting department to meet the needs of poppi’s current growth trajectory, including the addition of new co-manufacturer & 3PL locations, increased production, and greater sales volumes

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct periodic reconciliations between internal ERP system and third-party reported inventory levels
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies (found through reconciliations or ad hoc review) and collaborate with other departments to align systematic inventory with actuals
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Post physical inventory adjustments and journal entries within the ERP system
  • Support and participate in physical count audits as needed
  • Perform costing analysis and identify systematic costing errors
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Generate required reporting or documentation for internal and external audits
  • Contribute to special projects as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably with a high-growth CPG brand
  • Experience with inventory reconciliations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP software (NetSuite and/or SAP preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally while presenting information and managing internal & external relationships

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience working with co-manufacturing and 3PL partners is a plus
  • Familiarity with weighted-average costing is a plus
