Job Description:

This critical Cost Accountant role is responsible for the ongoing analysis of product cost, development of new product cost and margin analysis. This role will also work closely with the sales teams and senior financial management team to establish customer pricing. Job Responsibility:

Put into action a standard costing methodology for domestic plants
Monitor the cycle count program and conduct physical inventories
Perform internal cost audits
Help prepare general ledgers and assist in audits
Review changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost
Examine the data collected and log a detailed record of the results
Generate costs and cost saving ideas based on analysis
Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization
Perform variance analysis, including Purchase Price to Cost variance, cost revaluation, Invoice to PO price variances and work order variances
Make estimates of new and proposed product costs
Assemble reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services
Analyze projects and data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor usage, waste
Generate financial statements that comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Generate reports comparing production costs to standard costs and analyze manufacturing costs

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
2 years of Cost Accounting work experience
Experience working with organizational accounting concepts
Great attention to detail
Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate
Strong knowledge of cost management methodologies, activities, and cost pools based on direct and indirect cost rates
Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills
