Cost Accountant

• Develop and maintain efficient processes for general and cost accounting activities
• Prepare, record, reconcile, and report financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies and principles
• Produce and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments
• Validate ERP data integrity through analysis, audits, and coordination with inventory control, production, and work order processing
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Develop and document accounting policies, procedures, system requirements, and internal controls aligned with corporate standards
• Maintain robust internal controls and support inventory management by coordinating physical inventories
• Provide financial support through forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Analyze production costs, allocate overhead, and maintain standard cost models to ensure accurate product costing
• Monitor and report cost variances, identify drivers, and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with operations and inventory teams to validate cost data and ensure alignment with recorded system data
• Assist in margin analysis and profitability studies for products, projects, or business units

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• At least 2-4 years of business finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent communications, planning and organizational skills
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn quickly
• Advanced knowledge of general and cost accounting principles
• High integrity with a focus on maintaining a strong control environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• adept at working with complex data
• Experience with ERP and financial systems preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite Applications
• Willingness to travel, including occasional international trips
• Highly organized, strongly analytical, and have a keen attention to detail and ability to question the facts
• Highly adaptable and work effectively in teams and outside the formal line of authority to accomplish organizational goals
