Cost Accountant

• Create and maintain standard cost structures, including developing cost components such as Bills of Materials (BOM), routing, and labor/overhead rates
• Set up and update part numbers while ensuring Bills of Materials remain accurate within company systems
• Conduct quarterly updates for standard costs of purchased parts and reconcile discrepancies
• Oversee quarterly physical inventory counts across multiple locations and address any variances
• Track and analyze inventory trends, producing daily and monthly reports to support operational decisions
• Prepare and review Purchase Price Variance reports to identify cost drivers and fluctuations
• Deliver actionable supply chain analytics to assist in cost optimization and strategic planning
• Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to ensure the accuracy of cost data and financial reporting

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Extensive experience in standard cost accounting, specifically within manufacturing environments
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and analytical tools
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOM) and inventory control processes
• Knowledge of inventory analysis and reporting techniques
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cost accounting roles
