Cost Accountant

• Analyze and maintain standard costs for products and components to ensure accurate financial data
• Monitor manufacturing variances and inventory valuation, providing timely reports and insights
• Support month-end and year-end financial close processes, specifically in cost accounting functions
• Conduct detailed financial analyses to guide strategic business decisions
• Evaluate trends, costs, revenues, and commitments to identify opportunities for improvement
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Assist in the creation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and deliver actionable recommendations
• Collaborate with department leaders to align financial objectives and streamline reporting processes
• Utilize tools like Microsoft Query, Excel, and Power BI to develop dashboards and automate reporting for real-time decision-making

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• familiarity with Power BI and Microsoft Query is a plus
• Demonstrated expertise in standard cost accounting and financial analysis
• Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
