Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Cost Accountant/Analyst to join a dynamic and successful accounting team at an established organization in Oahu. This is a fully onsite role, offering an opportunity to play a key part in shaping pricing strategies and improving financial outcomes. The ideal candidate has both the analytical mindset and the technical know-how to manage item-level cost analysis, optimize pricing models, and ensure seamless integration of pricing strategies across departments.

Job Responsibility:

Monitor the accuracy of costs and margins across various product/service categories to support sales objectives and profitability goals
Ensure all direct and indirect product costs are accurately factored into final pricing
Administer timely price updates, corrections, and system-wide adjustments
Manage contract pricing setup, rebates, agreements, and allowances, ensuring systematic accuracy and compliance
Compute related financial adjustments such as credits, debits, and vendor reconciliation as part of pricing workflows
Conduct detailed variance and margin analyses to identify key trends
Generate reports by leveraging advanced Excel functionality and SQL queries to identify opportunities for improvement and address cost discrepancies
Act as a key liaison between teams to resolve pricing and billing issues in a collaborative, efficient manner
Drive process enhancements across departments while ensuring data accuracy and pricing integrity are consistently maintained
Create and maintain easy-to-follow documentation on internal pricing workflows
Lead department-level or cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives, budget, and schedule constraints

Requirements:

Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years in roles involving supply chain cost analysis or pricing workflow management
Experience or familiarity with the manufacturing / distribution industry is highly preferred (4+ years is ideal)
Advanced skills in Excel (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFS, and formula creation) and the ability to handle large datasets effectively
Experience using ERP systems
prior familiarity with earned income tracking software (e.g., Track Max) is desirable
Strong analytical and planning capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying pricing issues and proposing actionable solutions
Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to liaise across teams and levels of leadership
Highly organized with strict attention to detail while demonstrating adaptability to a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

Experience or familiarity with the manufacturing / distribution industry is highly preferred (4+ years is ideal)
prior familiarity with earned income tracking software (e.g., Track Max) is desirable
