We are looking for a skilled Cost Accountant/Analyst to join our client's manufacturing team in the Lansdale, Pennsylvania area. As a key contributor, you will provide valuable financial insights and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and oversee cost accounting processes, including labor, material, and overhead allocations, to ensure accurate financial reporting
Perform detailed variance and margin analyses to identify trends and areas for cost optimization
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to refine pricing strategies and identify opportunities for cost savings
Build comprehensive financial forecasts and support strategic planning initiatives
Maintain a hands-on approach by engaging with the manufacturing floor to align operational realities with financial data
Provide product-level profitability insights to guide decision-making and enhance business strategies
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices while continuously improving reporting processes
Act as a liaison between operations and accounting to foster collaboration and informed decision-making
Streamline and improve financial models for better forecasting and analysis
Support audits and ensure accuracy in cost-related financial documentation
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in Excel and other financial tools for data analysis and modeling
Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Familiarity with standard cost accounting practices and methodologies
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing setting
Nice to have:
Knowledge of food production processes is a plus
